The Platinum Tools
740C
is a waterproof RJ45 in-line splicing coupler that is quick to assemble and install. It connects RJ45 terminated cables within the the waterproof body and housings. The end housings are assembled on the cable ends prior to termination with RJ45 connectors. Housings are then screwed onto the coupler body. An internal ground link in the coupler body allows it to be used for shielded applications using internal ground shielded connectors. Gasketed housing/body screw mating system is secure and rated IP67 waterproof and dustproof. The unit is rated for Cat5e/Cat6 and the compatible cable jacket OD range is .216″-.276″ (5.5 – 7.0mm).
